After a lot of playing the last few days over and over in ours mind and through conversation, Dr. ordered medical testing and research we have all tests back and Austin is in the clear. PTL!
He has already changed the things that he needs to, in order to not ‘possibly’ have one of these again.
He is border line hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and has hypokalemia (low potassium).
We strongly feel his series of nights with little sleeping aggravated these issues and caused the seizures. We will be talking to a new family doctor next week and monitoring things, but as of now all is clear and he is well.
” I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do.” –That’s What Faith Can Do by Kutless
However, this momma is struggling a bit to feel at ease. The bumps in the night instantly finds me jumping out of my bed, running to his room to see if he has fallen in seizure again or if perhaps now my daughters are struggling in the night. A momma’s heart is a warrior for her children. She will fight any form of evil to protect her babies even if it is with her own life.
I used to have this fear at night of intruders breaking into our home, that some soul overtaken by a darkness was seeking to destroy something innocent (my children). I believe in the hedge of protection that God surrounds those who try their best to walk in His will with, yet being a victim of sexual abuse, I also know this world is sick and we do bad things. That is not God’s fault; it is human choice. So with this new incident involving my son, I am having troubles getting my own sleep. Yet, the Lord is comforting me. He is wooing me to lean into His everlasting arms and just be held.
To the moms out there sacrificing so much due to the love they hold for their child (infant or seasoned adults), bless you. Don’t give up or tire out. Lean into God and continue protecting your babies from all the world would have destroy them.
